Holly Fisher of Kentwood, Mich., a senior at William Woods University, has been named to the 2008 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
The daughter of Ruthann and Duane Fisher of Kentwood, she is double majoring in communications and equestrian science with a minor in business administration.
Fisher was one of 13 William Woods University students selected for Who’s Who, based on being an outstanding campus leader. A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
By being listed in “Who’s Who,” Fisher joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
Her campus involvement includes being a community advisor, organizing events for more than 40 residents, and serving as a University Ambassador, representing the university to prospective students.
She is a member of Alpha Chi Omega, Campus Standards Board, Phi Beta Lambda/DEX, served as president of the Dressage Club, and won national team and individual awards on the intercollegiate horse judging team.
