International students glimpse government in action

Ten international students from William Woods University recently attended International Education Day at the Capitol. They were among 400 students from 26 Missouri schools representing 81 countries.

During a luncheon in their honor, Jeremy Knee of the Missouri Department of Higher Education spoke and countries represented were recognized. In addition, Senator David Pearce and Representative Denny Hoskins spoke to the group.

In the afternoon, the students had the opportunity to network, visit legislators’ offices and tour the Missouri State Museum, the Hall of Famous Missourians, the Governor’s Mansion and the Supreme Court Building.
