Cheyenne Morris of Humansville, Mo., a senior at William Woods University, has been named to the 2008 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
The daughter of Leslie and Robin Morris, she is majoring in biology.
Morris was one of 13 William Woods University students selected for Who’s Who, based on being an outstanding campus leader. A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
By being listed in “Who’s Who,” Morris joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
A member of the Alpha Phi sorority, Morris has served as director of administration and vice president of chapter operations.
She is a member of several campus organizations including: Order of Omega, President’s Twenty, Student Alumni Council, Biology Club, Beta Beta Beta and Writer’s Ink.
In addition to her campus involvement, she has accumulated of total of nearly 80 hours of community service for Cardiac Care, Alpha Phi Foundation, Make a Wish, Michael J. Fox Foundation, Service for Sight, Waddle for the Way cancer walk and other philanthropic activities.
