Marissa Parenti of Hooksett, N.H., has been named to the 2010 edition of “Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges.” She graduated from William Woods University Saturday with a bachelor of science degree.
Parenti, an equestrian science major, was one of eight William Woods University students selected for Who’s Who based on outstanding campus leadership.
A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
By being listed in “Who’s Who,” Parenti joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
During her time on campus, Parenti was a member of Delta Gamma sorority, Delta Epsilon Chi business fraternity, and served as a Pi Chi during Greek recruitment. She was also a residence hall community advisor and a member of the Hunter Jumper Show Team.
