Stephen Nasser, a Holocaust survivor, will speak about his experiences during the next President’s Concert and Lecture Series event at William Woods University.
His presentation, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 24 in Cutlip Auditorium of the McNutt Campus Center.
He will relate his journey as he and his family were taken by the Nazis from their home in Hungary to Auschwitz. Nasser was just 13, and he says his memories of this terrifying time are still vivid.
Nasser considers himself fortunate to have survived the Holocaust. He was brought to Canada by the Canadian Jewish Congress in 1948, and immigrated to the United States in 1958.
In 2003, Nasser published “My Brother’s Voice” to help readers understand the reality of the Holocaust. His book will be for sale, and a book signing will follow his presentation.
The President’s Concert and Lecture Series is sponsored by William Woods University to encourage student and community participation in educational and cultural events.
