Greeks at WWU to Host 5k Run/Walk for Children’s Hospital

Sororities and fraternities at William Woods University will host the “Ful-ton-o-Fun” 5k run/walk to benefit the Children’s Hospital of the University of Missouri at 9 a.m. March 29.

Registration for the race, which is sponsored by WWU’s Panhellenic and Greek Council, starts at 8 a.m. There is $15 entry fee per person; $10 for students. The first 200 participants will receive a free t-shirt. Certificates and other prizes, donated by area merchants, will be awarded.

The race will begin at McNutt Campus Center on the WWU campus and proceed west to Stinson Creek Trail and then south to Westminster College. From there, the route goes east on 7th Street, north on Westminster Avenue and east on 12th Street, back to WWU for the finish.

“We invite the entire community to join us,” says Bridget Ward, Panhellenic president at William Woods. “Hopefully, it will be a beautiful day and we will be able to raise awareness for the Children’s Hospital, along with some great donations.”
