Fischer Elected President of Statewide Organization

Patty Fischer of Fulton has been elected to a two-year term as president of the Missouri College and University Personnel Association (MCUPA). She has worked at William Woods University since 1998 and is currently the director of human resources, benefit services and student employment.

Fischer joined MCUPA in 1999 and has served two years as treasurer and two years as secretary.

MCUPA has 50 Missouri member institutions and approximately 100 individual members. MCUPA was formed to allow networking between the larger universities and smaller colleges, to disseminate information and best practices.

Fischer also serves as a board member of the YMCA of Callaway County. An active member of Central Christian Church, she has served in various capacities over the years as a board member, chair of Christian Education Committee, and Sunday school teacher. In addition, she works closely each year on the United Way campaign on behalf of William Woods University.

She and her husband, Donald, have four daughters: Brandi, 16; Ashley, 13; Haylee, 8, and Abigail, 3. She recently completed her bachelor of science in management degree at WWU and graduated with a 4.0 GPA – while juggling family, home and career.
