First Places, Clean Rounds for WWU at Irish Fox Horse Show

Horses and riders from William Woods University teamed up to compete and win in the Irish Fox Winter Series Hunter/Jumper Show, held Jan. 30-Feb. 1 at the National Equestrian Center in Lake St. Louis, Mo.

 

The jumper riders achieved the following:

 

Melissa Smith of Fort Myers, Fla., and Vienna: 1st place in Novice Rider Jumper I, Novice Jumper Speed, and Low Child/Adult Jumper Speed; 2nd place in Low Child Adult Jumper I.

 

Miranda Weber of Niagara, Wis., and Rise Above: 1st place in Low Child Adult Jumper I, 4th place in Novice Rider Jumper I & Novice Rider Jumper Speed, 5th place in Low Child Adult Jumper Speed.

 

Marissa Parenti of Hooksett, N.H., and Woodland’s Eclipse: 6th place in Novice Rider Jumper Speed.

 

Ann Kiddy of Cabot, Ark., and Northern Slope: 6 clean rounds.

 

Lacie Tindall of Fulton, Mo., and Jordyn: A successful show on a very difficult horse.

 

The hunter riders garnered the following awards:

 

Ashley Dorian of Hinckley, Ill., and Cosmic Cowboy: 1st place in Limit Rider Hunter I, Limit Rider Hunter II, Limit Rider Hunter Under Saddle, and Limit Rider Equitation over fences. Champion Limit Rider Hunter.

 

Jasmin Seitzer of St. Paul, Minn., and Fergus O’Sullivan: 1st place, 3rd place, and Reserve Champion Beginner Rider Hunter.

 

Olivia Ma of San Diego, Calif.: 2nd place in Limit Rider Hunter I, Limit Rider Hunter II, Limit Rider Hunter under Saddle, and Limit Rider Equitation over Fences. Reserve Champion Limit Rider Hunter.

 

Marissa Parenti and her own horse, Judgemeister: Two clean rounds on a green ex-racehorse in the Schooling Hunter division.
