Stacie Bonte, of Fenton, Mo., a sophomore at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., received a Student Alumni Council Outstanding Sophomore Award at the university’s co-curricular honors banquet, April 18.
She is the daughter of Charlie and Kathy Bonte.
The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.
Bonte is president of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and a member of GAMMA (Greeks advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol). A member of the women’s varsity soccer team, she was recently earned American Midwest Conference Academic All-Conference honors.
She also is a member of Phi Bea Lambda business honor society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Up ’Til Dawn, which raises funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
