Famed Jazz Musician to Perform at WWU

Jazz flutist Galen Abdur-Razzaq will perform a free concert at William Woods University tomorrow (Thursday, Sept. 13). The performance is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Cutlip Auditorium of the McNutt Campus Center.

Abdur-Razzaq, from Montclair, N.J., has captivated audiences both internationally and domestically for more than 30 years with his powerful jazz performances. He is also a major entertainment figure on college and university campuses across the country.

A performer, composer, arranger, director and writer, Abdur-Razzaq has been deemed a “master” of music.

The event is sponsored by WWU’s Multicultural Affairs Office and the Campus Activities Board. It is open to the public.
