William Woods University students will get a chance to reunite with their families during Fall Family Weekend, Oct. 8 and 9. The weekend’s schedule allows families to experience a typical student’s weekend life.
It will be a full weekend on campus as prospective students and their families visit for an admissions event, Autumn at the Woods. In addition, the WWU Board of Trustees will meet.
“Fall Family Weekend is an opportunity for families to experience the campus as their students do every day,” said Venita Mitchell, vice president and dean of student life.
“Our schedule provides opportunities for families to attend campus events with their students. Students always enjoy introducing their campus friends and faculty to their families.”
Events on Friday include the WWU faculty art exhibit in the Cox Gallery and a golf tournament at Tanglewood Golf Course. Later that evening, families can attend a basketball intra-squad scrimmage or the opening night of the off-Broadway musical “Zombie Prom.”
The annual classic Fall Festival Horse Show is scheduled for Saturday at the Bettina Bancroft Equestrian Center. The Cox Gallery will also be open for viewing the faculty art exhibit. In the afternoon, the Owls Soccer teams battle Harris-Stowe University. The final event scheduled is another performance of “Zombie Prom.”
