Amanda Ellis, a senior at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., received the Student Alumni Council Outstanding Senior Award at the university’s co-curricular honors banquet, April 21.
The daughter of Sherman and Christina Ellis of Florissant, Mo., she is majoring in graphic design.
The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.
Ellis was honored for her involvement in campus organizations and service projects, including soccer team captain, Alpha Chi Honor Society and Dean’s List. She helped coordinate the senior art show on campus and works as a shift leader at Family Video. She also works at children’s soccer camps, both in Fulton and Florissant.
