Zachary Duffy, a junior at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., received the Student Alumni Council Outstanding Junior Award at the university’s co-curricular honors banquet, April 21. He is the son of Scott and Roberta Duffy of Janesville, Wis.
The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.
Duffy was honored for his involvement in numerous campus organizations and service projects, including Phi Gamma Delta fraternity recording secretary and past scholarship chair, Order of Omega co-president, Alpha Chi Honor Society treasurer, Saddle Seat Club and Student Ambassador for Equine Board of Visitors. He is also a Dean’s List student.
An equestrian science major, Duffy was also the 2003 winner of a $3,500 “Royal Six” collegiate scholarship, sponsored by the American Royal.
