Doak Named Outstanding Junior at WWU

Jessica DoakJessica Doak of Colorado Springs, Colo., received a Student Alumni Council Outstanding Junior Award at William Woods University’s recent co-curricular honors banquet.


The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.


Doak is a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, where she serves on the executive board, is a Panhellenic delegate  and a member of the chapter relations and standards board.


She is also a University Ambassador, campus advisor and residence hall community advisor. She is a member of the women’s volleyball team, Biology Club, Pre-Vet Club, Knowing the Woods Club and Campus Standards Board. 


She has coached an 8th-grade volleyball team and volunteered for the campus recycling program, Up ’Til Dawn for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Project Shoebox, Our Little Haven and Adopt-A-Soldier.
