While many students their age are worried about what they will wear to the next party, sorority women at William Woods University have joined together to host a clothing drive.
Sponsored by the William Woods Panhellenic Council, they are collecting women’s clothing to benefit Dreams to Reality. Donations will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, in the McNutt Campus Center at WWU, or by appointment another day, if necessary.
The mission of Dreams to Reality is to help low-income Missouri women build self-confidence and meet their employment goals by providing appropriate interview and business apparel, motivation and follow-up support.
Items being collected include suits, pant suits, pants, skirts, scrubs, blouses, jackets and dresses. New or slightly worn shoes, handbags, briefcases, belts, jewelry, scarves, unused regular and plus size pantyhose and knee-highs will also be accepted. Unused cosmetics and toiletries are also needed.
