Clevenger Receives Green Owl Award

Marsha Wardlaw Clevenger of Little Rock, Ark., received the Green Owl Award from William Woods University April 17 during Alumni Weekend.


Green Owl Awards were first presented in 1961. They honor those alumni who have given years of service to the Alumni Association and the university.


Clevenger graduated from William Woods in 1979 with a degree in business administration. Following graduation, she attended the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, where she earned a Juris Doctor degree.


Since 1983, Clevenger has served as senior law clerk to the Honorable Stephen M. Reasoner, United States District Judge, and to his predecessor, the late Honorable William R. Overton, in the Eastern District of Arkansas.


Clevenger was elected to the WWU National Alumni Board in 1999 and was elected first vice president in 2003. Active in her community, she is helping to plan the opening of the William J. Clinton Presidential Center in November 2004.


She has two sons: Wilson, 17, and Austin, 13.
