Chief Marketing Officer Named at WWU

Barbara Scott Dawdy of Jefferson City has been appointed chief marketing officer of William Woods University. In her new position, Dawdy will be responsible for the marketing, communications and public relations activities for the university.

A graduate of Culver-Stockton College with a bachelor of arts in English, she earned a master of art degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix.

Previously, Dawdy served as the vice president of sales and marketing at Midwest United Credit Union in Blue Springs, Mo. for nearly five years. She was also employed at K Dunn & Associates in Eugene, Ore., as an advertising consultant and business development director for several years.

In addition, Dawdy was the director of marketing at The Basket Company (TBC, Inc.) in Estacada, Ore.; as marketing and human resources manager at Classic Exhibits in Milwaukie, Ore., and as a research analyst II in the public information office of the Missouri Department of Insurance in Jefferson City.

She has also served an adjunct, business instructor for Sanford-Brown College and the University of Phoenix.
