Fulton resident Julie Houseworth has been promoted from controller to chief financial officer at William Woods University.
Houseworth received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Missouri in Columbia and is pursuing her Master of Business Administration degree at William Woods.
She began her career as a staff auditor for the Missouri State Auditor’s Office in Jefferson City and became a certified public accountant. She later joined the Boone County National Bank in Columbia as a staff accountant, eventually working her way up to vice president, controller.
After dedicating nearly 15 years of service to the banking industry, Houseworth was named controller for William Woods University.
Houseworth is a recognized member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants and a recent graduate of the Fulton Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Callaway program.
She and her husband, Barton, reside in Fulton with their two sons Owen, 13, and Wyatt, 10. Houseworth enjoys spending time with her family, watching the boys’ baseball and football games, photography and rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals.
