Carissa Dawn Concert at WWU Postponed

The outdoor concert by Carissa Dawn, scheduled for Wednesday (Sept.1) at William Woods University, has been postponed because of a strong chance of rain. The concert will be rescheduled.

A fun, sassy country singer, Carissa Dawn is the stage name for Carissa Biele, a 2006 broadcast communications graduate of WWU. She is a native of Fulton, Mo., and has recently moved back home from Tennessee to peruse her master of business administration (MBA) degree at WWU.

Biele is a singer and songwriter. She has competed in local, state and national competitions, Ms. Gateway International and Missouri State Fair Idol.  She has performed in musical theatre, a CMT reality show, bar gigs, and has sung the national anthem at NASCAR-affiliated events. She has performed in Memphis and all over Missouri.

The Carissa Dawn concert is part of the annual President’s Concert and Lecture Series, which brings top entertainment to campus for the enjoyment of students and the community.
