Career Connections Fair at WWU Open to All

A career connections fair, designed to help participants develop connections that will help in career planning, will be held at William Woods University March 8 in the multipurpose room of the Helen Stephens Sports Complex.


The event, which is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is free and open to all students, alumni and community members. Representatives will be available to answer questions regarding full- and part-time jobs, internship opportunities, study abroad experiences and graduate programs.


“This event will benefit all students because it will provide them with an opportunity to network with potential employers, learn about study abroad opportunities, and consider graduate programs,” Cheree Meeks, director of career services and student transition, said.

She added, “Networking is very important, and students can begin to develop skills to be successful in their job search process. It is never too early to start thinking about your future and how various experiences can contribute to your success and marketability.  It is a great way to test out your job search skills.”
