Sally Bybee, a senior at William Woods University, has been named to the 2005 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
Bybee is from Columbia, Mo. and is majoring in business administration and computer information systems. She was chosen for Who’s Who on the basis of academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
By being listed in “Who’s Who,” Bybee joins an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.
Bybee served as a Community Advisor and secretary for Leader Scholars on campus. A Dean’s List student, she also is a member of Phi Beta Lambda, a national society that develops business leaders.
A soldier before entering William Woods, she has earned the Army Achievement Award for saving the life of a soldier, maintaining 100 percent mission-ready capability in a hostile environment, safely salvaging equipment in a restricted environment, and outstanding performance and professionalism in an emergency situation.
Bybee has also been given the Good Conduct Award for exemplary conduct, efficiency, and fidelity in active military service. Other awards include the Humanitarian Award for Operation Uphold Democracy and Soldier of the Month.
