Butternut Resident Named Outstanding at WWU

Lynn Frydrych, of Butternut, Wis., a junior at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., received a Student Alumni Council Outstanding Junior Award at the university’s co-curricular honors banquet, April 19.


She is the daughter of Todd and Pamela Frydrych.


The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.


Frydrych is junior class president, co-chair of Campus Integration Group, president of University Ambassadors and Chi Omega sorority vice president. She is a member of President’s Twenty, Hands-Up Club, Student Alumni Council, Campus Standards Board and Campus Crusade for Christ. She also is head community advisor for her residence hall and an accompanist for chapel services.


Her community service includes volunteering at the Missouri School for the Deaf, Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, Make-A-Wish Foundation, SERVE Clothes Cupboard, Salvation Army Bell Ringer and the First Baptist Church Deaf Club.
