Boulware and Brison Named to Who’s Who

Troy Boulware and Sarah Brison, both seniors at William Woods University, have been named to the 2004 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”

Boulware also has been named the Distinguished Scholar in Business Administration. The faculty of various disciplines at William Woods have the opportunity each spring to designate one graduating senior as a Distinguished Scholar. A minimum grade point average of 3.4 is required, but the faculty may consider other relevant academic factors and variables in the selection process.

The son of Mike and Brenda Boulware of Hattan and a graduate of North Callaway High School, Boulware is majoring in business. Brison is the daughter of Bob and Tonya Brison of New Bloomfield. She is majoring in political/legal studies, with a history minor.

Boulware and Brison were among 13 William Woods University students selected for Who’s Who, based on being an outstanding campus leader. A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the students based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.

By their listings in “Who’s Who,” they join an elite group of students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.

Boulware is involved in numerous campus activities, including President’s Twenty, Campus Activities Board, Student Alumni Council. He was a Campus Ambassador, treasurer of Campus Government Association and a head community advisor. He has been the president, treasurer and scholarship chair of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
