An up-and-coming singer known for his freelancing melodies and down-to-earth charm will perform at William Woods University Friday, April 8.
Mitch Clark, a young Virginia native, will entertain at 7 p.m. in Dulany Auditorium. The event is sponsored by the Campus Activities Board and is free and open to the public.
Clark grew up never having sung or played an instrument, and he went to college to study golf. While there, a friend handed him a guitar and now he entertains others with his bluesy soul-filled pop rock vocals.
His unique and popular sound was inspired by Gavin Degraw, John Mayer and bands like Needtobreathe. Clark describes performing and singing as a journey God started for him when he was a child; he just did not realize it.
