The classics . . . electrified. Four St. Louis musicians who are considered “wildly creative” have transformed the music of the masters–Bach, Beethoven and Mozart–to the 21st Century. Known as Bach to the Future, the quartet will perform their “Bach for the Holidays” show at William Woods University.
The performance, which will include Christmas favorites, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30 in Cutlip Auditorium of the McNutt Campus Center. It is free and open to the public.
The quartet, Rob Silverman, Mike Silverman, Matt Bollinger and Andrew Driscoll, is known for playing a variety of classical music rearranged in modern styles. Music from artists like Bach, Beethoven and Mozart is performed to modern jazz, African and Latin rhythms. This group that the Arizona Sun deemed “A Hit!” climbed to the top of the charts in 2008 with their album “The Christmas Piano.”
The concert is part of the annual President’s Concert and Lecture Series, which brings top entertainment to campus for the enjoyment of students and the community. For more information, contact Brenda Foster at firstname.lastname@example.org.
