A brochure produced for the Office of Enrollment Services at William Woods University has won a silver award from HMR Publications Group, publishers of Admissions Marketing Report.
Intended to encourage high school students to visit William Woods, the brochure features photos of students and the scenic 170-acre campus. The attention getter is a duck asking prospective students to “Come feed me at WWU!” Inside is a packet of duck food.
William Woods, which has two large lakes on its campus, is almost as well known for its ducks as it is for the horses in its internationally famous equestrian program.
The 17th Annual Admissions Advertising Awards Competition was judged by a panel of marketing, advertising and academic professionals. Judging was based on overall creativity of the piece, marketing execution and impact of the message.
WWU’s campus visit piece won second place in the category for schools with fewer than 2,000 students. Carnegie Communications, Inc., of Westford, Mass., produced the brochure for William Woods University.
