President’s Twenty will hold its annual auction at William Woods University March 22 in the newly renovated Woody’s, on the lower level of Tucker Dining Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.
The silent auction will run from approximately lunchtime until midway through the live auction, which begins at 4:30. The auction will feature items donated by the WWU students, faculty and staff. Items ranging in value from $5 to approximately $200 will include such things as fishing trips, gift baskets, merchandise from the campus Logo Store, gift cards, artwork and event tickets.
A cash bar and appetizers will be available during the live portion of the auction to celebrate the grand opening of Woody’s, which is a ‘new’ gathering place for student functions, as well as various student and faculty/staff events.
“Please note the date on your calendar and spread the word to your family, friends, and students. Everyone is welcome,” Anna Casaleggi, PXX event coordinator, said.
“The proceeds from previous PXX Auctions were directed toward the renovation of Woody’s, and there is more that we hope to add this year,” Zach Hurst, PXX event coordinator, said.
President’s Twenty is a collegiate honorary service society whose members serve as official ambassadors of the president at university events. Members serve as the official honor and color guard at all university convocations, commencements and other activities where needed. They also act as liaisons between the university president and the student body, providing an avenue of communication for each.
