Artists Plan “Naked and Nude” Exhibit

Two artists named Jane have teamed up with a downtown Fulton restaurant to present an exhibit celebrating the human form.

The exhibition, called “Naked and Nude,” features paintings and drawings by Jane Mudd and sculpture by Jane Bell. Mudd teaches art at William Woods University and Bell is a local artist.

Their work will be displayed in the 3rd floor Gallery of Beks Restaurant, 511 Court St., March 11 through April 21. An opening reception will be held from 4 to 6 pm. Saturday, March 11, and is open to the public.

“The reason so many artists through time have been drawn to the human form is because it is the most compelling of subjects and surely the most challenging,” Mudd said. “The possibilities for expression are endless.”

She explained that “In this exhibit Jane and Jane are investigating feelings ranging from vulnerability to empowerment. . .thus “Naked and Nude.”
