Arnold Outstanding Freshman

Lindsey Arnold, a freshman at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo., received the Student Alumni Council Outstanding Freshman Award at the university’s co-curricular honors banquet, April 21.

The daughter of David and Janet Arnold of Edmund, Okla., she is majoring in interpreting American Sign Language.

The Outstanding Student Awards are the only awards at William Woods University bestowed on students by the nomination and vote of other students. Nominees must demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement and leadership.

Arnold was honored for her involvement in campus organizations and service projects, including Student Alumni Council freshman class president, Philosophy Club, Hands Up Club and Campus Crusade for Christ. She also is Alpha Chi Omega sorority vice president of intellectual development and song chair.
