Alpha Phi Hosts ‘Move Your Phi-T Walk’ for Cardiac Health

Members of Alpha Phi sorority at William Woods University know how to “move their feet,” and they will prove it to the campus and community Wednesday during the “Move Your Phi-T Walk,” part of their Ivy League philanthropy week.

The purpose of the walk is to promote heart health and cardiac care. It will begin at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Alpha Phi house, and both students and the Fulton community are invited for the stroll around the WWU campus.

According to Alpha Phi president, Kathryn Golden, the entire sorority is excited about the event and the benefits of walking.

“It’s an easy thing to do to improve your heart health and to promote relaxation and bonding between members of the WWU community,” said Golden.

Wednesday is also wear red day, so all members of Alpha Phi and other competing Greek houses will be decked out in red for the walk.
